Sustainable Innovation Expo – UNEA 2016

This week ( 23rd - 27th May 2016) I will be attending the Sustainable Innovation Expo – UNEA at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.

Web source: The Sustainable Innovation Expo (SIE2016) The Sustainable Innovation Expo (SIE2016) will bring together business leaders who will be called on to identify and apply resource-efficient and cleaner solutions and technologies, and to engage with governments in identifying the enabling conditions to scale them up. This is not just about what the private sector can do for sustainable development, but what sustainable development can do for the private sector. In the changing global landscape – where sustainability is high on the consumer agenda, climate change is threatening economic development, and inefficient practices are set to cause resource scarcity and price spikes – only those businesses and investors who embrace the new worldview will thrive. http://www.sustainableinnovationexpo.org/

One of the my best session attended was big data and innovation Delivering information for the SDGS

#Mytake key highlight personal notes

  1.  Collaboration is a MUST for us to achieve the SDGS, actually in realizing anything moving forward.
  2.  Big data is the new currency meaning in; Volumes, Velocity, Variety and of Value the question is should big data be open to the public? 3. How do me measure the implementation process? What can't be measured can't be managed #FoodForThought
