CITC Leadership Forum 2019

 #SkillUp2019

On Friday 24th June I had a great privilege to interact and train young leaders from Christian Industrial Training Centres (CITC). The forum was held at Ikon gardens in Muthaiga, where 30 young leaders from different departments attended the full day session from 9am to 5pm.

The forum was designed to train, inform and inspire the youth to take charge as leaders of different departments by ensuring they leave a legacy through their leadership abilities. The aim was to ensure team work, problems solving skills and knowledge transferred to them through the most appropriate way without excluding the element of fun, learning and team challenge.

To achieve the set objectives we used;
  1. Role plays.
  2. Games
  3. Group assignment
  4. Individual insights
  5. Indoor and outdoor activities.
 Key take always; the session emphasized on many aspect of leadership namely;
  1. Qualities of a good leader.
  2. Personality and leadership.
  3.  Leadership styles.
  4. Change management.
  5. Culture ( team, company and organization).
  6. Communication.
  7. Environment
Christian Industrial Training Centre (CITC-Nairobi) is located next to St John's Church Pumwani, behind Pumwani. They offer different TVET training with a mission of providing quality technical and entrepreneurial training in a Christian environment, for more information please visit http://citcnbi.ac.ke

Our Now and Future depends with how we engage the youth in the private, public or government sector. #YouthInMindSpiritAction

 Young people;
Need to be trained
Need to be coached
Need to be motivated
Need to be appreciated
Need to be supported AND as a result a great future will be guaranteed for ALL. Any nation that sidelines its youth and youth agendas is bound into a blink future of series of crises from unemployment, crime, drug abuse etc.
