Some of the very basic of using a DSLR camera are; 

1. Holding the camera the right way. 
2. Pressing the shutter button.
3. Getting the right composition through the viewfinder. 
4. Getting the right focus and keeping the camera steady. 

 I'm very amazed by how fast my children have learned all the above skills under my guidance. One weekend we went out for a shoot whereby my daughter Debrah (5 yrs) made the below photos.
