Personal Change and Development.

Happy New Month. Life Series +throughMylens #PersonalChange #PersonalDevelopment Particularly when you're reflecting on your own growth and transformation, there is a significant distinction between three statements;

~ I Must Change
~ I Should Change
~ I Will Change

 I'm still committed to achieving the same objectives; the only thing I need to change is my plan of attack for getting there. I'd want to take this time to wish you luck in the month of September. If August was difficult for you, I hope you won't give up hope since there is usually hope for a new day, a new week, a new month, and eventually a new year.

Anyhow, if you had to pick one of the following items to check when you wake up every day, what would it be?
  1.  Verify your online presence.
  2. View the most recent news reports.
  3. Check the number of missed calls or SMS.
  4.  Review your daily to-do list.
  5. Check what time it is. Just to mention but a few...
How Do You Measure Personal Progress and Growth?

 Keeping an eye on your habits (patterns or routines) in all that you do is one way to gauge your development. Time is the most valuable "currency" that someone has, and focus determines whether someone will reach their goals or not. If you didn't already know, habits lead to character that over time become your personality.

 "The only person you can change is YOU. For everyone else, all you can do is impact their pattern of development. - Wilson Masaka, Youth Advocate and Social Entrepreneur.

#FeaturedPost The fear of change is called metathesiophobia. Here’s the thing: fear of change is evolutionary in humans. Our internal predispositions teach us to resist change mainly to always feel “in control” or “in our comfort zone.” But change is necessary.

If you’re not changing, you’re not growing. Heck, you’re not living! Strong traits then take root and begin to grow into character.

Our traits are driven and shaped by our thoughts. Our thoughts inspire our actions, and our actions define our character.

This is reflected in our integrity, attitude, moral fiber, and general disposition. All of these things shape how we treat one another, good or bad.

We can purposely change who we are by being intentional in how we make our choices, how we live our lives, with whom we associate, and how we lead or impact others within our social and family sphere.
