Next Generation Stars!

~ Play Safe With Dignity - Football Shoes Drive. Yesterday I connected Latifah playing for KASSAC and Lewis of Mathare North Rangers F.C who were part of the kids I promised to connect them with a pair of shoes during this Easter holiday after spotting their stellar performance in one of the matches played at Drive Inn Primary School, Mathare North. I'm happy to put a smile on the next generation stars by honouring my promise.

They now join a long list of beneficiaries of the football shoes campaign since inception in the year 2000. I know there are many who are still playing bare feet, but through Wilsen initiative (WI) and +throughMylens I will strive to reach many in Mathare North zone. The main agenda is to change the playing experience at the grassroots level by providing mentorship and much needed resources like balls, uniforms and football shoes.

~ "A drop of ink can't change the entire ocean water, but it can still make a significant change in a particular place in the ocean." - Wilson Masaka, Youth Advocate and Social Entrepreneur. Have a wonderful Easter Holiday ❤️ Don't forget the less fortunate in the society. Do More | Be More | Be Different

Meet the Football legends

Out & About - Pep Talk +throughMylens -

It was a great honor to meet one of the renowned football legends in Kenya by the name Musa Otieno. This happened during the football friendly match against our U17 team Mathare North Rangers F.C Vs. Kickoff to Hope Kenya academy. Musa Otieno is one of Kenya's most successful and decorated ex-footballers. During his time he played for the Cleveland City Stars, Santos, Harambee Stars (Kenya National Team), AFC Leopards just to mention but a few. He is also the founder of the Kickoff to Hope - Kenya and assistant coach at Police F.C playing in the Kenyan Premier League.

 Brief highlights of the inspiring journey featuring what made him succeed;
  1. Dedication.
  2. Professionalism.
  3. Finding the WHY.
  4. Keeping the Hope Alive.
  5. Discipline.
  6. Individual brilliance.
  7. Great mentors And many more...
We look forward to more mentorship engagement with him. Thank you coach Timothy Umeme Ofula for organizing everything.

Logo Edition (Football Badge)

+throughMylens #BrandIdentity #GrassrootFootball

What is the story behind the formation of your grassroots football team or club? Do you have values, vision, philosophy and mission for your club?

Having the right brand identity (name, logo, slogan, colour etc.) and marketing strategy improves the visibility of your team which would eventually attract the required support. .

Does your team have a logo (badge)?

Remember not all that is offered online for download will represent the vision of the club. You need the help of a designer to tweak and design the elements to meet your expectations. Another point of discussion is why some clubs at the grassroots levels call their clubs the foreign club names and not names that are associated with where they come from or what they do that can add value to their story.

I know some would say that they draw their passion and inspiration is based on what they are exposed to (external influences), but I also believe there has been some level of ignorance and zero strategy in the process of developing their brand identity.

Happy Clients! Below is a showcase of some the logo I have designed +throughMylens

  1.  Githurai Up-rising Stars Academy (G.U.S.A)
  2. Kisumu Wazee Combined
  3. Diaspora United Football Association (D.U.F.A)
  4. Mathare North Wazee.
  5. Mathare North Rangers F.C
  6. Mathare Flames Sportive
  7. Brook Sports Academy.

" So, what are we talking about when we say “brand identity”? It’s best to think of it as the way your target market sees you. Your brand identity is the way that you make your target market understand who you are as a club. It can include things like:

- Your visual identity
- Your voice
- Your personality
- Your values
