During my primary education, we were encouraged to study hard so that we could be employed or, more specifically, get good jobs. However, the narrative has shifted, and our call to action should be more focused on instilling a culture that promotes a problem-solving mindset that will assist youth in addressing issues such as unemployment beginning at their doorstep.
Scanning the youth area, I discovered that youths fall into several groups, and we cannot continue to generalise their issues if we actually wish to solve or aid them in their progressive development.
Here are examples of various clusters in the youth space:
1. Youth in crime, drugs and ex-convicts
2. Youth in school.
3. Youth in sports.
4. Youth in employment (corporate)
5. Youth in government.
6. Youth in business
7. Youth in politics
8. Youth in the creative sector ( DJ, dancers, musicians etc)
Etc.
All of the aforementioned have one common word: youth, but many other things differ significantly.
Remember that neither the government nor the corporate sector can fix all of the challenges facing young people. To address existing and new difficulties in the youth arena, all parties (business, religious sector, NGO's, philanthropists, etc.) must work together more quickly and meaningfully.
The Solutions #POV
Accelerated Meaningful Collaboration (AMC - Model)
Accelerated Meaningful Collaboration is my own idea that seeks to develop working partnerships across the sector in order to bridge gaps in youth spaces on a variety of topics such as quality education, unemployment, and underemployment, to name a few.
The notion is founded on the idea that the future is here, and that young people should have an active role in making it a reality.

Jobless but not Hopeless!
"A generation of jobless and hopeless youth is like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode." - Wilson Masaka, Youth Advocate and Social Entrepreneur.
The big question is how can we assist the youth in creating their own spaces without over-relying on being employed?
#YouthEmployability
UN SDG 8.
Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8) focuses on promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. It aims to achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and people with disabilities, by 2030, with equal pay for work of equal value.
📌 Job seekers To Job Creators
We will be freed from mental slavery the day we realise that the primary objective of education is not to gain employment.
I believe education is a model that aims to provide students with the platforms and resources they need to think, relate, create, connect, innovate, and explore, to name a few. A weak education system contributes significantly to the economy's shrinkage since students are more motivated and trained to work in declining industries rather than being part of the players who create new ecosystems for employability.
In conclusion
Our emphasis should be on self-employment and problem solving rather than waiting for career opportunities that never come, and even if they do, the knowledge obtained by the time we graduate will be out of date. If we don't practise and become lifelong learners.
