Wilsen Initiative (Wi).

Flash šŸ”™ Founders 360°

DID YOU KNOW

"Any concept that remains untested—whether it be in your head or in a book—is just as good as none at all. Start with what you already have, and as you learn more about the idea's many stages through trial and error, its development will become unstoppable ." - Wilson Masaka, Youth Advocate / Social Entrepreneur/ Wilsen Initiative Founder.

The Wilsen Initiative (Wi) began as a dream back in 1997, inspired by my experiences in many life contexts, fighting challenges and accomplishing significant goals in the process.

Starting with Nairobi's Mathare slums, the Wilsen Initiative (Wi) aims to identify talent and steer them in the correct way by offering much-needed platforms for a young person to develop and express themselves.

Below are ten crucial subjects, which I recommend learning about for a young person to take charge of their life and develop into a responsible citizen.

Captured from my journal +throughMylens Bits and Pieces #SelfMade. These subjects guided my journey.

1. Developing a positive attitude.
2. Self discipline and self mastery.

10. Career mapping [Attitude, Skill and Knowledge).

And many more...

Six Reasons Why You Shouldn't Quit So Fast. Ask yourself these questions.

#LifeSeries +throughMylens #SelfMade

Did You Know ❓ In India, today is Happy Friendship Day 2024. As a good friend, I want to share with you today a page from my self-made life series diary on why you shouldn't quit so fast.

 Here we go!

Six Reasons Why You Shouldn't Quit So Fast. Ask yourself these questions.

 1. Why did you start in the first place?  ~ Validate your WHY

2. What lessons and insights have you received along the way? ~ Experiences are invaluable phenomena that will help you make the right choices and decisions.

3. If you are quite sure, what is your next plan of action?  ~ Always have plans A, B, C, and so on. ~Don't fall into the crack of no plan.

 4. Are you ready to go through another pipeline of uncertainty, or would you rather improve things at the current point?  ~ Make quitting a process, not an event.

5. Who else went through a similar ordeal, and what action can you take even though your situation might be totally different?  ~ Take time to reflect, empathise, and consult.

6. If you quit now, will things be better instantly? If it's not now, when is the right time?

~ Analysis of the situation and think of the aftermath.
~ Having a date in mind helps you plan better than just quitting instantly into an unknown plan.

I hope you have learnt something. I'm always happy to share relatable life stories for a better tomorrow.

Remember, even the most educated people have something they don't know and must learn every day to maintain their status.

If you're employed, don't build a permanent structure in your comfort zone, because you never know. Some people might be discussing your exit without your knowledge, and when it happens, you might see black stars if you don't have an alternative plan.
