Meet Mathare North Finest Midfielder Sheryl Angach.

Our girls soccer in Mathare North has been on a downward spiral, especially with no show of girls/women team training consistently, which has contributed to the lack of motivation to nurture the next generation to be involved in a soccer activity either as a hobby or career.

 On the flip side, I need to give credit where it is due to one lady by name Sheryl Angach who resides in our neighborhood and currently featuring for GASPO F.C in the Kenya Women Premier League. Sheryl is one of a kind, you will always find her either training alone or with a team of boys /men. She doesn't mind training with the boys /men because she believes she get the opportunity to sharpen her skills to the next level.

Sheryl has featured in the Women's national team for several years and always gets the playing time because of her prowess in the midfield. Her story has been featured in many publications which I hope by now she should have caught the eye of accredited international soccer scouts or agents.

My only questions are;

1.  What is the formula for making it to trials abroad, especially coming from Kenya?
2. What should one do in terms of soccer profile or portfolio? 3. How can one apply for soccer scholarships abroad especially USA? I have watched Sheryl train and play in the league and in the national team.

I believe she has a good percentage of what is required to be placed in a professional women's clubs abroad, even if it is on a lower level. Lastly, in Kenya do we have FIFA accredited soccer agents /scouts?

May her dedication, consistency, talent be rewarded. #WonenInSoccerDeserveBetter Please share any valuable information that can help our soccer players grow into next the level of professionalism to attract the overseas markets.

Below are pictures of some of players who received their soccer jerseys after they saved for 8 months. As we continue to seek for more support within and abroad I want to encourage everyone to continue contributing towards the teams goal of acquiring the necessary resources for example soccer balls, Conn’s, goalposts nets etc.
