On 2nd February 2020 we had a session at Hope Raisers Initiative in Baba Dogo about how to craft business ideas as creative either as a musician, painter, DJ etc. It was the perfect timing to host Helder as a guest speaker, she shared her journey in business starting with her desire to start a business to the current status. Helder’s journey started as a creative from graphic designer to owning a business in bakery among other ventures.

Key take away from her insights.
- How to build business relationships.
- How to understand the market.
- Dealing with clients.
- Building a sustainable personal brand online and offline.
- Building a sustainable brand for the venture.
- How to start and stay in the game by developing business strategy.
- Finding courage to start and how to deal with rejection.
It is a journey we have started and we hope it will spark the ripple effect to get in touch with the ideal partners to do more together.
We want to build lasting, structured networks between Women in Eastland’s and beyond inspired through technology, business and leadership.
Helder runs a bakery business called DH Bakers, graphic design services, matt weaving among other business.
