Life Series, Bits and Pieces
Time Bound
As a freelance youth consultant, trainer, and facilitator, I occasionally have "free" time at my disposal. Today, I want to offer some of the advice that has helped me stay motivated.
Have you ever heard someone say, "Today seems to have gone by very quickly" or "Today seemed to go by a little slower"?
In actuality, time will move forward no matter what you're going through and at a steady rate; only the passing of the seasons and your daily activities will give the impression that it has moved more quickly or more slowly.
In hindsight, it seems to me like the new year's celebration was just last week. There are currently 88 days left in 2023, according to the calendar as of the time of writing this post. Especially if you're unemployed, the question is how much you've managed to do from January to September 2023?
" If you track your actions, progress, and efforts in a methodical way as a young unemployed person, I think you can still accomplish more." - Wilson Masaka, Youth Advocate and Social Entrepreneur.
Here are several measures you can monitor to increase your efforts and attain the most success by the end of 2023 and beyond.
1. Manage a ToDo list to keep track of your time.
2. Develop new skills, make an attempt to teach others, and monetize those same abilities.
3. Maintain healthy routines, particularly for rest, easy exercise, waking up, etc.
4. Disrupt your routine and pay attention to your behaviour.
5. Submit applications for jobs and related opportunities that match your qualifications.
6. Join worthwhile online and offline groups that provide forums for collaboration, guidance, and education.
7. List all of your efforts and the feedback you received.
8. Develop the belief that creating jobs is a viable route to employment.
9. Divide your main goal into smaller subgoals and objectives that will encourage action rather than delay.
10. Recognize what brings you joy and build value around it.
