IDEA STAGE

You have the option of going it alone, but for better learning opportunities, you should assemble a team that is enthusiastic, dedicated, skilled, value-based, and visionary.  A co-founder is one of your dream team's difficult to find team member. Someone who is resourceful, willing to put forth the extra effort, complimentary of your efforts, skilled, good listener, professional, visionary, role model and able to implement, to name just a few.

As co-founders of Wilsen Initiative (Wi), my sister and I share a lot of values, including value-based leadership, community involvement, and using football as a tool for change. Esther has witnessed all of my efforts, successes, and struggles as I have worked to improve my family's standard of living and helping the youth and children in achieving their meaning of success.

Generally speaking, Wilsen Initiative (Wi) was formed on the tenets of my personal journey, but the She Can, I Am a sHERO project is based on Esther's story as an aspiring professional footballer from the underserved community. We aim to reach as many youth and children with the same values, philosophy and principles that will help them Do More, Be More and Be Different.

“It is important for the girls / women to find the winning by combination in sports and education as two greatest avenue to excel in life. The unfortunate part there are no many platforms that trains or mentor girls in the same line of thinking to make an informed life changing decision at the earliest stage in life like from 12 years.” -  Esther Mazira Football Player, Project leader/ co-cofounder of She Can (I'm a sHERO).

About the project I'm a SHERO, is a platform that advocates for better terms of engagement for girls / women in sports. The platform seeks to inspire young girls in sports starting with football which is one of the popular games played at the underserved grassroots communities. 

We want restore the hope and dignity of girls / women playing football through training and mentorship. We hope our intervention will create a lasting ripple effect of self-awareness that would lead into more responsible lifestyle.
