Great ideas may originate from anybody, in my opinion, but they can also be squashed by those in positions of authority inside an organizations just because they aren't the original thinkers or creators of the idea.

Which of the following individuals is most likely to be given an audience in African settings and have their ideas developed further?
A) A rich man with 'poor' idea.
B) A poor man with 'rich' idea.
Note: In terms of ideas, I've used the term rich to denote great and insightful whilst for poor to mean average, bad or half baked. #MetaphoricallySpeaking #Generalization

Whatever your current position is at work, you should develop your ability to express your ideas clearly, influence others' opinions, persuade them to support them, and have an open mind in the case that your ideas are rejected.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is to have your idea bank close at hand because you never know when you'll need it.
